I'd forgotten about that quote from George Carlin. It's undeniable, and yet strangely reassuring: because there's nothing anyone can do about it, not even that most optimistic and delusional of activities, blogging. It will always be true. So dip your teabag and drink deeply.
I was reminded of it by a comment on another blog, which had a post about a comment, and included a most elegant response to it. Three degrees of commentary. Worth reading.

OK, maybe that Shit/Motherfucker/Tits/Cocksuker/Piss/Dick bit was funny before you could hear those words routinely on even Nikolodeon...
