None Of The Above

They, who know him best, say no not only to Rubio (does he matter anymore?) but to the whole lot of them. And what thoughtful person, Republican or Democrat, could disagree?

The Sun Sentinel Editorial Board is not going to make an endorsement in Florida's March 15 Republican presidential primary because the kind of person who should be running is not in the race. (Emphasis by your friendly blogger.)
We cannot endorse businessman Donald Trump, hometown Sen. Marco Rubio or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz because they are unqualified to be president. Ohio Gov. John Kasich is the best of the bunch, but if you measure a candidate by the caliber of his campaign, Kasich's lack of traction and organization make a vote for him count for little...

Be sure to watch the video, too. Succint.

Of course, before the Great Winnowing, they endorsed Jeb (!) To me, pretty much from the start and with only the leastest inspection, he belonged in the NOTA category, too.

  1. That is a sad story. It's OK though, you won't hurt anyones feelings. They are numb with denial and medicated on conspiracy theories.

Bernie won Michigan tonight. This is starting to get very interesting.

As a conservative (who looks for good ideas wherever and from whomever he can find them), I'm past the point of being in a quandary. Right now, given the choices my side has presented me with, I'm voting for Hillary while holding my nose and closing my eyes. Even though she's basically Nixon minus the good humor and warmth, she's the most experienced candidate out there, knows both how the system works and where the bodies are buried, and - at the very least - won't knowingly drive the Titanic into an iceberg.

I'll take my chances on Supreme Court nominees (crazed gun owner, as you know...gun control means both hands on the firearm, etc.), but I simply cannot look at the insanity going on and call it anything other than insanity.

  3. That's why I like you, Larry. (Among many other reasons.)

  4. Larry-
Open your nose and eyes, and feel the Bern. Honesty is rare in today's politics but both Bernie and Elizabeth Warren have it in spades. Turning around today's disastrous political situation won't be easy, but with people like them we have a great head start. Hillary, sad to say, will be the same old shit.
