This is precisely the reasoning behind Congressional Rs', teabaggRs', and Fox "news'" decision to produce the exact opposite. The implication of Abe's words, of course, is that when given falsehood they're likely to do any damn thing; and I doubt even #16 could have foreseen the extent of it.
