When Putin invaded Crimea, the usual America-haters like McCain and Graham and every right-wing screamer there is blamed it on Obama. Weakness. Bowing before dictators. Benghazi. And they claimed his lack of response only made it worse and showed the world how weak we are. Gotta invade. When there's trouble in the world, gotta shoot someone somewhere. Because that's the way we roll.
So now Russia is facing a tanking economy, a ruined ruble. No doubt the reasons are many, and complex. But might any of those bellicose bemoaners give any credit to the very tough economic sanctions President Obama imposed after the invasion, and around which he got the world to rally and up which he continues to?
Yeah. Sure they will. And after blaming Obama for rising gas prices, they'll thank him for lowering them. (Yeah, I know, I know. But fair's fair, right?)

ReplyDeleteHe went through his year end pow wow with the press. He only called on females! *clears throat* that was no mistake. Obama is acutely aware of optics and tones. He is saying "Get ready for a woman to be POTUS". There's stuff the POTUS can't do. But he can play optics and play to the girls. Dems. need the female vote in a bad way.
The man was all swagger all day long. His list of accomplishments while in office was so long he actually had to read the teleprompter...for like 10-15 minutes. But when Q&A started is where the real fun began. He beat up on everything and anything even remotely looking like a carcass from the Confederacy. Ran over them and then backed up and ran over them again. XL pipeline? Too bad so sad...Repeal Obamacare? Too bad so sad? Stop funding to begin relations with Cuba? The Tpubs missed that boat as well. The Preezy put a very tangible progressive smell to it all as well.
Is anyone ready for Warren as POTUS? How about Clinton? Been sayin' for a long long time...A change is coming and it's time for the progressives to take the wheel. Jeb has no chance...none. There's not a single Tpub that can win the seat. Gee...Rick, Jeb, Mitt, Paul (either first name or last), there's nobody.
The Tpubs got nobody and the Preezy is spoiling for a fight.

Definitely planning to watch it (between cases in the OR at the moment.) But I'm loving watching Obama unchained.
