It is frightening. This loathsome little man can't handle the press because he's afraid to answer their questions. Simply asking him a question becomes a serious affront to his inflated yet fragile self-image and office.
ReplyDeleteWill he ever have a true press conference with genuine give and take? I think that he might have one - but just one. After that he'll hide from the press, ban certain reporters and companies, and let his press secretary handle everything.
From the way this transition is shaping up it won't be long before we might long for the likes of a Nixon.
I hope they remember the old adage about people who buy ink by the barrel. He needs them more than they need him.
ReplyDeleteIt is disturbing how much Trumpists embrace the second amendment as a bulwark against tyranny, but then hold the press and the first amendment in disdain. Some tyrants are better than others, I guess...
