Even on this blog, the realist's repository of reason, there still appear comments claiming President Obama is anti-business. So, in the undimmable spirit of reaching the unreachable, these charts are PosTed.

  2. Notice how, if you remove the Cash-for-Clunkers outliers spike, the trend is still steadily ascending upward at the same rate?

It's almost like the economy just recovers on it's own, regardless of those meddling statists mis-adventures, like in 1819, 1837, 1857, .......

Never let a crisis go to waste, Right?

ps: If 98% of Catholic women ALREADY use birth control, why in the hell does barry want to force catholic institutions to give it away for free? It's almost like they want to create a stir to divide the populace over petty things to score cheap political points wit da wimmens! It's a CRISIS I tell ya!

  3. Well, other than the fact that virtually all economists agree the stimulus made a significant difference, I'll agree it didn't.

As to contraception: insurance isn't free, you know. And, since the rules aren't really different from those in many states already, including Romneycare and others with R governors, I'd have to say it seems it's the Rs who are trying to score the points, by claiming, as they all do, that Obama is waging war against religion. The force of their bullshit is strong, young one.

  4. Of course a spending binge temporarily boosts our consumption based economy. A stimulus is to the economy as lactulose is to hepatic encephalopathy as acetozolamide is to a csf leak. Nothing impressive or original about serial stimuli.

Here's a jam to school ya. Watch, then Read the lyrics. Thaz wuzzup.
