Speaking Of Obvious...

Rick Santorum told (oxymoron alert!) "Values Voters" that Barack Obama "doesn't believe in families and churches and communities." That's the typical RWS™ bullshit that passes for political discourse on their side nowadays. Standard fare, expected by his audience, given in bite-size and easy to swallow portions, gobbled up with glee (not the TV kind, of course.)

But in the same speech he let slip something that's actually true, and explains exactly why he said the first thing, confident it'd take root:

"We will never have the elite, smart people on our side."

Today's Republicans: the party of dumb people, as told to us by one of their heroes. You didn't hear it from me.

  1. It's sad that one of the major political parties has come to this. Glorifying hate and willful ignorance, refusing to accept evidence, and invoking their deity when they get calls on their nonsense.......it's hard.

Obama 2012! While he's not as liberal as I'd like, he is a thoughtful person,a good orator, and as effective at governance as anyone can be given GOP opposition.
